Calico is dedicated to creating design and marketing solutions that inspire kids to learn and have fun. Calico founder, Gina Manola, has kept that focus alive in her life and work for over ten years. Ms. Manola began her career at Design 5, the well-respected educational design and development studio in NYC. At Mudpuppy Press she enjoyed the challenge of developing successful gift products for kids and the privilege of working with the best children’s book illustrators and museums in the world. As the Design Manager at Quarasan, she guided the design of numerous educational projects for the K-12 market. Since the launch of Calico in 2006, the studio has had the opportunity to work with many great companies to create some really special projects. Our clients include some of the top publishers and toy companies in the United States and Europe. Calico is a proud member of the Association of Educational Publishers, Women in Toys, Bookbuilders of Boston and Chicago Book Clinic.
